INTHEWORLDOFKES is a learning space consisting of interviews, think pieces, and research articles. INTHEWORLDOFKES positions itself as a direct challenge to the normative ideas about learning. Consider INTHEWORLDOFKES to be a hybrid classroom where everyone is capable of being both student and teacher.

Why the title 'intheworldof'?

Accepted Answer

Well two reasons: The first being that I have a personal blog titled 'inthemindofkes' which has been a online safe haven for me which I started in Aug 2021 shortly after my Grandma passed away. I had the idea for an online learning / writing / interview space titled 'intheworldofkes' since 2022/2023 yet was also unsure (and scared) to execute it. I have endless handwritten notes about 'intheworldofkes' dating back to my month-long tenure in Grenada in May 2023. The second being a proverb my mum has always repeated: 'in the world but not of it'. A spiritual idea that calls to being here on earth yet not to get caught up in the materials on earth. We are not of the world, we are simply passing through. I must also mention that I only discovered recently that the proverb has tight links / overlaps with the Christian bible, something I was not previously privy to. A reminder that everything we know is simply a reflection of the extent that we have been exposed to something. I thought the phrase was just something my mama made up haha
